An meine erste Fotografie, die ich als Kind gemacht habe, kann ich mich noch sehr gut erinnern. Leider drückte ich den Auslöser der kleinen Messsucherkamera meiner Eltern nicht ganz durch und das Foto blieb nur als Erinnerung in meinem Kopf und schaffte es daher nie in das Familienalbum.
Das Gefühl, einen Moment im Kopf zu behalten ohne ein Foto geschossen zu haben, ist für mich ein Grundgefühl der Straßenfotografie. Es ist die Poesie des alltäglichen Lebens, die mich an der Straßenfotografie fasziniert.
The first photo I took as a child I can still remember very well. Unfortunately, I didn’t press the shutter button of my parents‘ small rangefinder camera all the way through and the photo remained only in my head as a memory and never made it into an album.
The feeling of missing the photo is an underlying sentiment in street photography. The passion to perceive the poetry of everyday life always draws me magically to the street. For me, street photography is a melange of sociology and poetry.
